The family visit has been keeping me busy this week, and we’ve had a lot of fun along the way. Early week was mooching around Chiang Mai. I took a couple of ‘days off’ so I could keep on top of the business and the family took themselves out and about in town.
I’m delighted to say that I’ve seen the adventurous side of my Mother this week.
And having seen his Great Grandma at it, Jamie wanted a go to.
With so much going on and my brain a bit frazzled keeping up with everything I can’t swear which day it was,(that short term memory loss again), but either Tuesday or Wednesday we took a Song Taow up to Wat Doi Suthep.
For me it is fast becoming too much of a ‘tourist attraction’. But that’s hardly surprising, with the stunning views to be seen along with the architecture and traditional dancing shows.

It was a lovely trip for the family. They all got blessed.
And the highlight for me was seeing the normally shy, retiring Jamie, running around playing football with a group of Thai children as we waited for the others to comeback from the rest rooms.
Its a must do if you are in Chiang Mai, and if you can’t make the steps, you can always take the cable train up.
You must dress appropriately, or you will be turned away. My niece, Joanne, was stopped due to her dress being just above the knee and Boon had to run down the steps and buy her some trousers from the Market.
There is a small entrance fee to, 30 baht, and the train is 10baht up or down.
