When You See Nothing That You Like Then You Must Like What You Have
A regular bit of repartee going on at the moment.”Good morning!”….”Whats good about it?”
Well even as I sit wrapped in my winter jacket and woolly hat, struggling to breath through my blocked nose, my eyelids puffed and tired with the Flu, I say everything.
Each day I feel very lucky, I have a roof over my head, food easily available, people around me who care.
“when you see nothing you like , then you must like what you have” Its a saying hung on one of the trees in Wat Phra Singh. I like it. Often I look at whats happening around the world and see very little that I like, but then I look at what I have and smile, without smugness, but with gratitude.
Still maybe something could be changed with that saying…”when you see nothing that you like, then look a little harder”.
Sometimes it is to easy to see only the bad. Despite the sensationalist media, there are still many good things happening everyday, all over the world, they just don’t get reported so much because the best stuff is done quietly with out sensation.

Very well said. “Each day I feel very lucky, I have a roof over my head, food easily available, people around me who care.” In the end, that’s all that really matters.
